Senior Software Engineer

Fazeshift is hiring its first senior engineer. You’ll be a technical cornerstone of the product — shaping architecture, shipping end-to-end features, and setting the bar for engineering quality as we grow. This isn’t a role where you maintain what others built; you’ll have significant ownership over what we build and how.

• Design and build full-stack features across the Next.js frontend and backend API layer

• Lead end-to-end on schema design, migrations, and backfills across Prisma and MySQL, and design rollouts that are safe to deploy

• Set the bar for engineering practices on the squad through system design reviews, incident response, runbooks, and observability

• Mentor other engineers through code review and architectural guidance

• Collaborate directly with founders on product direction and technical trade-offs

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful time spent owning production systems where correctness and uptime matter (payments, fintech, identity, fraud, infrastructure, or similar high-stakes domains)

• Strong TypeScript skills across the full stack

• Comfort with modern React patterns and Next.js Pages Router

• Experience with relational databases and ORM-based schema management (Prisma or similar)

• Solid instincts around API design, system reliability, and developer experience

• Experience at an early-stage startup, or a strong desire to operate in that environment

• Track record of mentoring engineers and raising the engineering bar on a team

• High ownership mindset — you don’t wait to be told what needs to be done

• Hands-on experience with Inngest, or other event-driven/workflow orchestration tools

• Experience scaling a SaaS product from early users to meaningful ARR

• Background in fintech, revenue operations, or B2B SaaS
